Default Ignition Systems Jacobs or Holley

I am considering the purchase of a Jacobs or Holley ingition system for my 88 coupe. It is now mass air with gt-40 and 65tb. I would appreciate hearing about anyones experiences with either system or a comprable piece.
Thanks

I wouldn't go with anything but an MSD myself, but if I had to choose one of the two you're deciding on, I'd go with Jacobs. Holley stuff just seems to be of such chinsey quality these days, I tend to steer clear whenever possible. Need a for-instance? BLOWtech: a Holley company, NOS: a Holley company, and Holley's own SysteMAX intakes look like they were cast by a high school student. Dirty, cheap, and overpriced in my book.

Again, these are just MY opinions, and if anybody doesn't like them, you know what to do.

All the racers I know run nothing but MSD. Jacobs is way too expensive.

I've always run MSD products in the past and all I can say is great things about them. Saying that, my current car had Jacobs products on it when I bought it. They seem to be excellent quality and I have been very pleased with my setup so far. As far as prices go, someone set Jacobs products were alot more expensive. If thats the case, I would buy MSD.

I can't help on the Holley products, don't know anyone thats ever used their stuff.

Another vote for MSD.

I've been running my MSD 6AL box for about 2 years now with no problems.

Stay with MSD at least you can add modules to keep it growing with your needs. add nitrous add module, add blower add module. etc...etc...
