![]() Going from stock to 1.6's wont net you any list, so you are reducing friction for 1.213456hp , roughly.
![]() Going to 1.7's you will now add more lift to the cam. Take you current cam specs and do the math. Either divide TOTAL LIFT by 1.6 then multiply by 1.7 . Or take LOBE LIFT and just multiply by 1.7 to see how much more you gain. p.s. Watch the lift numbers, as your valve springs may not be able to handle that much lift (either bind at that travel, or not enough pressure to close the valve).

![]() I've got 1.7s with the same cam as you. The lift with 1.7's on the B cam is .510" which is pretty decent (1.6's will give .480")
The rockers are easy to install, the directions should be pretty straightforward. If your valve springs are very old, then you'll want to replace them too. I didnt when I put my rockers on and regretted it later. It would float the valves at 5300rpm, no fun. So i replaced them and it rev's all the way to 6250 like it should ![]()

![]() I went with the 1.6 rockers because i figured if i wanted more lift i would use the cam. Plus I'd heard of people wrecking their springs like fiveohpatrol mentioned. It's a pretty simple install, but you'll need a conversion kit or have your heads machined to accept studs. I've heard they're good for like 25 hp, but I've never seen a dyno sheet or anything to prove it. When I put mine in on my stock heads i noticed a big difference, especially in the higher rpms. If your going to keep the stock heads i'd say go with the 1.7's and upgrade your springs, if you plan on aftermarket heads go with the 1.6's and use a bigger cam to increase lift. Just my .02
