![]() Ok...so it's not my mustang but I do own a 67 Fastback...this particular one is a 68 coupe with a brandnew 347 in it. It has the gt-40 aluminum heads, not sure of what cam but it's been degree'd in, roller rockers 1.7 I believe, new distributer, the compression is normal on each (read 150), it has a new edelbrock 4-barrel carb, the plugs were black after it started acting up, now they're replaced with autolights...timing's correct as well so I was told...It started up and ran fine at idle for about an hour. Then he backed it up out of the garage and let it idle some more, then it started running very crappy and now it won't run at all. Also when it ran the battery cable got hot very fast.
I told him to replace the points with an electrical one, and the coil to a higher voltage one. Any suggestions as to what this may be??? Sorry but this is all the info I have, the guy is my fiance's step father and I can't just leave a fellow mustang not running right. Thanks for any help.
