Default cheapest way to turbocharge a 5.0?

I originally put a post on the Small Ponies board, but no one aswered, so I figured I would try here. Someone told me that you could take the turbo and mounting brackets off of a SVO and put them on a 5.0 motor. Is this true? I'm looking to do something different, but not very radical and thought this would be really cool. If anyone on this board knows anything about doing the swap if it is even possible, please let me know. Thanks
