				 |  sunroof problem well i dont drive in the rain much but yesterday i got stuck in it and man did my sunroof leak my ? is has this happen to any of you and what can i do to fix it i dont even know where to begin body shop? maybe

				 |   It might need new weatherstripping, and make sure that the drains are clear, you might have to flush them out somehow.

				 |   Take a coat-hanger and run it down the four drains - usually that's what causes leaks.  If that doesn't work - you may have to change both the seals. |

				 |   the seal on the glass itself looks as though it could be due for replacment does anyone know of a good place to get that or is that a dealer only part i tried mustang parts late model resto but i did not see it listed also thanks for the posts ill definatly try the coathanger

				 |   Where are the drain holes that need cleaned with a coathanger located? Mine doesnt leak, but I would like to check the drains anyway. My seal is cracking also. Try texas mustang parts. |

				 |   I bought my weatherstripping from stangparts.com.  It cost about $115 bucks but that is about normal.  It fit perfectly and stopped my leak problems.  Make sure to use some kind of adhesive to make the seal even better. I bought the one that actually goes on the glass, it was in bad shape. |

				 |   i found one at texas mustang parts for 115 chump188 how hard was it to swap the seal and what type of adhesive did you use Mach 1 thanks for the heads up on where to look

				 |   oh and mach 1 once you take the roof out you will see the holes towards the corners if it is a factory roof

				 |   The seal is easy to swap.  My old one was so worn it came right off.  I just used a weatherstrip adhesive from an auto parts store. The new seal just pushes into place and I ran a bead of glue along the weatherstripping before I pushed it into place. I also repainted the sunroof frame at the same time. I figured kill to birds with one stone. Hope this helps. |
