Default cam selection

Hi there.... I need to make a choice on a cam so I'd like some input. And please give me a reason for your specific choice. It'll make a lot more sense than just part numbers..... Also, I can't do a custom grind so that's really not the answer I'm looking for.

So here's what I have:
new 1990 stock bottom end
Edelbrock Performer (1.90/1.60) heads
1.7 roller rockers
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
Holley 650 dp carb
1 5/8 equal length headers
2 1/2 Mac Pro Chamber with Flowmaster 40 series
Jacobs ignition
T5 and 3.73 gears
K and N

I want a car that doesn;t have to hit 7000 to make power, I want low end grunt and I want the agressive idle. Any suggestions would be great. Tks!
