![]() the best way to do it is to get the FRPP ac delete kit, its between $40-50, and is the easiest and best looking way to do it.
its just the brackets that come on the factory non-ac cars. You COULD look in the junkyards for it, but there are very few stangs in junkyards, let alone ones with no ac by the way, you'll need about a 70" belt for it if you dont have the smog pump (thats what I'm using)

![]() The FRPP delete kit's the way to go. It's easy to install and looks good too.

![]() I really don't understand the point of deleting A/C unless you have a non daily driver. When the A/C is turned off there is no load on that pulley, so it presents about as much restriction as an idler pulley. Also, it only weighs like what 20lbs tops. It seems worth it to me to keep that 20lbs and have A/C when you want it.

![]() well there were a few things to consider when i decided to get rid of mine.
Pro's: 1. About 30lbs off of the front end of the car 2. No more ugly compressor, lines, condenser, or evaporator to look at or get in the way of working on it. 3. One less thing for the belt to turn, although it was a very slight drag. 4. AC was only used on EXTREMELY hot days, maybe 3-4 days a year 5. More air through the radiator, since the condensor is gone Cons: 1. No more cold AC As you can see, in my case, the pro's outweigh the cons. If you use the AC alot then its not worth deleting, but it was for me.

![]() If you're like me and the ac doesn't work, I think it is a better investment to remove it. Especially being in Canada, I'd imagine it doesn't get too hot up there. It gets around 100 regularly here in TX. Thats why I have the truck with ac.

![]() The belt length for the A/C delete (FRPP) and smog pump bypass (delete) is 75". I just pulled my smog and A/C this weekend. Really cleans up the engine bay, especially the passenger side header area.
