Default Air fliter cover

It was described on eBay as a PRO M induction tube. It goes over the Long K&N filter. I have been looking for one of these, and possibly trying to make one.

What is the correct name for this? I can't find anyone that sells it. Anyone recocognize it?

Looks like a heat shield, but it's hard to tell in that pic.

Take care,

It is a heat shield, I can't find it on pro-m's website, I am not sure if it is made by them.

Does anyone know of a "airbox" or shield that I can buy to fit a 12 inch K&N filter that is similiar to the one pictured?

Will 1/8inch thick sheet styrene melt under the hood? I can mold a cover out of it that will do the same job.

It won't melt where you are talking about putting it.
