![]() I've been wondering this for a while and just thought I'de ask what you guys were running. I have the stock 10 hole rims on a 89lx and was wondering what the fattest tire i could throw on there would be. Currently its a 245r15. Can i go w/ a 255 or a 265 in the rear? I'm not worried about rotating so I don't care if it will rub up front or not, just if the rim can hold it in the rear.

![]() just to give you an idea... a 245 is 9.65" wide a 255 is 10.04" a 255=10.43". Generally you can go 1.5" safely using any rim and any tire for any car. After that it gets sketchy. It does matter what series tire you want to use. You could probably mount a 285/75r15 on a 8" rim( not that you'd want to) but you couldn't mount a 255/25r15 on a 7" rim, get my point. Are the 10 holes 7" wide? or 8"?
Tub it!! ![]()

![]() I have 15X7 Momo's and 265/50/15's on the back, and have for 2+ years. Haven't had a problem yet. I'm getting 275/50 or 60 (I don't remember which series) nitto's pretty soon.

![]() I have 275/60/15 on my 10 hole Draglites. They are 15x8. They look good tucked up there too. Only rub a little bit over very sharp bumps, never around turns or switching lanes. I dont even have the lip rolled or anything. Just the rear springs a spread a lil bit.
hope this helps

![]() Its just like a little clamp that keeps the springs from compressing all the way down. There not spread much..just enough to keep it off the tires.
