Default Bassani Long Tubes

Has any one used Bassani Long tube headers? I know they're a bit pricey, but if I'm gonna do it, I want to do it right. I've heard good and bad about almost every othr brand, but never anything about Bassani. I have their off road X pipe and love it. I also thought about getting their mufflers. Any opinions would be great. Thanks.

I just bought a set of the 1-5/8 to 1-3/4 stepped longtubes, coated, for my new combination. They were listed at $1049 on the Bassani website but I was able to actually get them for $625 through Houston Performance. Panhandle Performance also carries the full line and has good pricing.

A buddy of mine has the $600 bassani headers jeff mentioned above. The headers are TOP quality (I have $100 flowtechs, you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR). The sound is unreal, but the only drawback I know of is that you have to use a bassani x pipe ($300) and the bassani catback ($600 I think) unless you're really into doing custom work.

You could actually use any X-pipe. The Bassani has your typical ball-type collector adapter that comes with the headers. I got the Bassani shorty X (for LT headers) for $239 from Houston Performance at the same time I bought the headers. I use a typical flow tube off the X and into some Dynomax Race Magnum Bullets. I know plenty of people who make their own X pipe using the Dr. Gas kit.
