Help, my car just broke down!

You guys/girls are very knowlegable, so I thought you might be able to help me.

I was driving my Jeep Cheerokee (1988) when my power steering locked up and it stalled. I tried to start it and it wouldn't turn over.
Then I tried jumping it w/2 cars, nothing.

The gas gadge says 1/2 tank, but it isn't prefect. (it goes down when I accellerate)

The oil is low, but it has some in there.

I was beating on it about 10 minutes beforehand (accellerating hard, but I never went above 50mph)

When it died I was going about 10mph and had kept that speed. (Dropped off a friend)

Any help would be appreicated!!!!!!!!!!!!
