![]() Without getting into aftermarket heads, what's the vibe?....I'm keeping the 302 block cuz the numbers match. I've got a set 351W heads(late 80s), intake and exhaust. Should I put them on instead of the original 302s?

![]() Well I don't know the year or you car. But if you have a E7TE heads just keep them, since the 80's 351W heads are just as restrictive or more then the stock 5.0L heads.
Save your cash up and get a good set of aftermarket aluminum heads and toss them on to get some good HP gains.

![]() It's a 69. So the portsthat came with it are small. From what I've read, if a guy is to switch to the 351 heads, it has to be for the early 70's. The later ones(like what I have) are just as restrictive as my 69 302s. Is this fairly accurate?

![]() You can search on eBay for some iron heads from World castings. They are very inexpensive heads, but will give u a nice boost in performance. I have a set of Windsor Sr. heads on my 351W based engine that I have done a lot of work to. They will outflow almost every "non-race" aluminum head out here.

![]() If its stock heads that aren't half bad you're looking for, a set of D0OE heads would be nice. Small combustion chamber (58cc) and no air injection bumps in the exhaust, plus the port sizes aren't bad. They use an 18mm spark plug, though. Can be had for less than $200 each at parts stores (autozone, murray's, etc).
