![]() Hi,
I'm new here. I have just the K&N filter and was told just by removing the rubber boot on the filter housing I could pick up a few (10)extra horse and mileage. Seems a bit much to ask. Mike 2000 GT |

![]() It's a proven free mod on 5.0s, but on the newer modulars folks that have done dyno testing have said that either you don't gain anything or you even lose a few hp. What a lot of people do is just trim the intake silencer down so that it ends at the opening of the wall of the engine compartment (makes the hole somewhat bigger).

![]() Thanks,
I think my mileage might have dropped a bit. Going to put it back on for the winter. iI's thirsty enough when its cold. Your '00' looks nice. I looked at and sat in a 05. Got so mant compliments on my 00 it makes it hard to justify the price of a new pony.I only have a Mach 1 chin spoiler (picked up 200 rpm) other than stock. |
