![]() Does anyone know which headers fit these Pro-Topline Heads ?
I have a 68 302 in my 66' stang with tri-y headers and the # 5 sparkplug is shorting out on the header. ![]()

66 coupe, 306 balanced bluprinted, performer intake,725 Road Demon, Crane Cam, Tri-Y Headers, factory Shelby glass packs 2 1/4 with exit in front of rear wheels, 3:50 rear, 8 inch rear, mustang plus suspension, 41/2 mideye leafs, 620 springs on front, kyb gas shocks. tony branda shelby hood, r-model valance, rear side scoops(functional),stainless steel slotted front brake system,,13.39 1/4 mile with no slicks and no posi. |

![]() Can't you move the wire?? Redirect it?? Or get a sleeve to put over the boot, etc??
Or is the plug against the header?? Have you contacted the head manufacture and see what they recomend?? That's where I'd start.

![]() Thanks, Yes I have tried all of that with no results.
The Head Manufacturer advised me to call hooker and I just haven't gotten around to contacting them. I just thought I would ask around first.

![]() I had this problem with Windsor Jr. heads...
I ultimately went with shorty plugs and while it didn't solve my problem, it did make it drivable for quite a while without having a problem with it arcing out. |

![]() What brand or part # of sparkplug are you using in the Windsor Jr Heads.
Also, what type of plug boot,,,manufacturer, angle of plug boot... Thanks for any info Carboy CC, Tx

![]() I also have the world windsor heads and I had the same problem. Changed over to accel shorty plugs. They can be found at summitracing or accel's web site. Also I changed to hooker super comp headers and that completely solved my problem. If you dont want to change headers i would just find the accel shorty plugs and a nice set of 90* plug wires.
