Opposing gear opinions?

Hi guys, I am currently running 355's but I just purchased a set of 4:10's and plan on installing them tommorow.

Some people tell me that they are way to steep and that I will end up past my powerband instead of in it, and others just say that they are waay too steep for the street and that its gonna kill my motor quick.

Then others tell me that theyre the only way to go if I am serious about going fast, especialy since my car is a heavy mofo and my powerband has shifted up 1000rpms after installing the heads and intake. Can anyone make some sense of this?
