I have a 89, 2.3L, LX. When the engine is idleing, and I pull number 3 plug wire off, there is no change in the rpm of the engine. The plug is firing and there is compression. When I pull the plug, it is wet. I replaced the plug, wire, and checked the distributor. All is well there. When I put it into gear, the engine rocks really bad due to this not firing. I leaning towards a bad fuel injector. I have a set of injectors for a 1988 Bronco II, Does anyone know if these injectors are the same as the Mustang 2.3L? Does anyone have any other ideas as to what may be my problem?

Possible Valve Job or something along the lines of that.

As it turns out. I replaced the injector with another one and it changed nothing. So I pulled the head, turned it over and looked at #3. Sure enough, there was the problem. I had a quarter inch chunck taken out of the intake valve around the seat. I have the head in the shop now to have it "fluxed" and a valve job done to it. Should be getting it back today so I'll know in a few hours what's happening.
