![]() Has anyone used 351w heads on a 289/302 engine? I've been thinking of doing this to get more flow out of my engine. I just want to know from someone who has done this if I may reused the stock valvetrain components aside from the larger valves. Also I would like to know any problems I may encounter before they present themselves. I have read that I can use a thinner head gasket to avoid losing compression due to the larger combustion chambers. I have experienced slight detonation w/the 289 heads. Maybe I would be better off with the lower compression(?) Also, has anyone used the CompCams Extreme Energy Camshaft?
