Well, it was inevitable!

I was on the way back home from ordering some Nittos for the Cobra. My brother was driving my GT, I was in the Snake. We catch a light together, and I look at him. He told me he was going to smoke me, and I thought he would. The light turned green, and I tried not to go up in smoke. He jumped a little ahead, but I quickly caught up with him by second, and by the time I was about to go to fourth, the GT's front bumper was at my fender!! The cobra won! :0 There had been a chevy truck behind us watching, and at the next light, the guy pulled up next to me in the turn lane and said, "I was watching you guys, I think it was a tie!! Good race!" He was a cool guy, but I knew the real truth of the matter: the car I had bought for $8k just beat my $25k ride.

Well, the decision I have to make right now is whether I'm gonna keep the GT for a while or not. I'm really thinking about selling it next summer and getting either an 02 Z06 (405hp!!) or an 02 Lightning. The cobra is getting kept for sure, I love it, but I really don't see spending all the money to get the GT to a level where I'm gonna be really happy with it, i.e. new tranny, blower, etc. Unfortunately, Im beginning to think the GT is particularly slow, even for an auto. What do you think?
