![]() Ok, I have been debating on what to get for heads...AFR's or TW's. Since I have had NO problems in the past with the TFS heads, and that they are $300 cheaper, I decided to go with them again. That allowed me to get new RR's and a new TB instead of just getting a set of AFR's. Also because the TW's are like the half-way head between the 165, and 185 AFR's with a 170 cc volume, and a 255/195 cfm @ .500 flow rate.
I also bought a set of Crane 1.6 RR's, and a BBK 70 mm tb. I also still have my TFS Intake off of my old car. Luck I guess, the guy didn't want it, he thought it was ugly, so I put my "old" performer on it for him. This leads me to deciding on a cam now. I have the B303 in it now, but my friend has a slightly used E-cam that I might swap out, since I will be tearing down the motor. I am curious to see what this will dyno, after I do this swap. It dynoed 261 with the mods in my sig, so I HOPE 300 rwhp is capable. N-E-wayz, I will hopefully have my new heads and cam on by late tonight, early tomorrow, so I think I will take it to the dyno again on saturday since I will be venturing to Dallas to break in the new pieces. I think there is definately a calling to those 248's. ------------------ Dustin 1993 Cobra #1926 Bassani Full lengths,Bassani short X-pipe, American thunder Cat back, 3.55's. More to come... ![]() I thought that you kept the TFS heads off your old car before you sold it?
Anyways, thats going to be very interesting to see the difference on the dyno. I'm anxious already. Id like to see a 65mm to 70mm TB comarison too. ![]() And I may have a friend interested in those GT40's if u want to sell em. ![]() Sky, I ended up selling them to the guy who bought my car. About the heads, I already have a buyer, sorry that was part of the reason I bought the new ones, he wanted those.

![]() MM&FF tested the difference between a 65mm and 70mm TB on a 5.0 w/ the Edelbrock package (heads, intake, and cam) and there wasn't a HP difference between the two. They were absolutely the same.

![]() INTERESTING NEWS!!!
Well, after getting my heads and Intake off, I noticed that the heads were ported, and matched to the lower Intake...NO WONDER I HAD 260 RWHP!!! N-E-ways, I have the TW's on, and the cam in, I just ran out of time to get my Intake back on. Yeah the 70 and 65 are virtually the same, but I went with the 70 because I am investing in either a blower or a stroker soon. ------------------ Dustin 1993 Cobra #1926 Bassani Full lengths,Bassani short X-pipe, American thunder Cat back, 3.55's.
