Post What happened?

I posted a subject a while back about possibly putting up a history of mustangworks with a place to view what the homepages of past site designs looked like. I had also asked again about a email feature to alert members when a topic had been updated even if it is not a topic they had posted. Anyway, I was just wondering what happened to that post?

Sorry if I am bugging you Dan. I know you are busy!

[1] Old post, probably scrolled off unless you select to view older posts than your default is set too.

[2] The history is possible, but just requires time and work. Don't have the time right now due to other concerns.

[3] The message board idea might be cool, but UBB doesn't have that functionality.

I've been sick off my *** , as I came down with a NASTY viral infection after I got back from Florida. I've been stuck in bed for four days and had a 103 temp. I haven't been this sick in years, so I haven't been around much in the past week.

I don't want to do much as of yet with the message board. I might dump UBB, not sure yet.

Sorry to hear you are sick Dan. Hope it doesn't last much longer.

I understand your time problems, just thought I would throw out some ideas.

Also, I visit www.sportbikeworld.com every now and then. They have it set up where you can get updates to any topic you post on if you wish. When, or if, you get time, you might check it out over there to see how they have it set up.

Anyway, thanks for the reply and I hope you get to feeling better!

Ahhh, the reason they have this capability there is because they are not running UBB as we are. They are running VBulletin. It has several features UBB does not (but should). Many I've added myself by modifying UBB with hacks or my own code, but it's a pain in the butt. And, it makes it impossible to upgrade with newer versions as they become available because you have to redo all your hacks and modifications all over again to the newer version (or loose them). Thus, why the version of UBB we're running is actually several updates old now.

I've been thinking of dumping UBB for a while now, but we'll just have to see what comes around...
