Post 420HP N/A 302. Please Help With Accessories

Ok, now i need to know:
How much does a mass air conversion cost?
Do they make X-pipes for long tubes?
What Ignition should i use? (Read combo below)
What Size Fuel Pump? (Read combo below)
Where do you get your pistons Fly Cut or notched(what is the difference)?
What timing *?
What Size valve covers (Tall, standard)?

Here's the combo

Stock Bottom End Of A 5.0(stock forged pistions, notched for the big cam)
Comp Cams XE282
AFR 185 Heads (Milled)
Comp Cams 1.6 Rockers
Trick Flow "R" intake
75mm throttle body & egr
24lb Injectors
Pro-M 77mm MAF
& 1-3/4" Full Legnth Hookier Headers

This motor made 423 hp @ 6000 RPM & 381 ft-lbs @ 5600 rpm For MM&FF, But they used an automatic 5.0 Computer (they reccomendid a manual 5.0 computer), & 70mm t-body(they reccomended a 75mm).
this motor will take the place of the 351 i planned to build.

any help is greatly apprecieated

I Forgot to ask about the pushrod leghth.
the cam specs are
LIFT- .565int/.575ex
DIRATION- 232int, 240ex
LOBE CENTER- 112*

How the hell did they get it to take so much hp from a stock bottom end?? Let me rephrase that how long did it last??

It will make the power. Just have to get it tuned well and get some gears. Low rpms arent gonna be fun with 185's and 75mm TB, and that big cam...

Anyways, MASS AIR is about $400-450. What else you need help with, looks like its all figured out.

Then we should race when I get my 351 :-D

That'd be a nice drag strip setup, but not great for street use. Everything is big An auto computer actually have a slightly more aggressive tune in them, but if you already have a manual there's not much sense in converting. A combo like that will need an Extender or something of the like, your shift points will definitely be above 6250 revs. I'd almost be willing to bet that a TFS Track Heat intake would be more suited to your combo. Once again, it'll be a topend beast.

I'd like to make one suggestion. Use a main cap girdle with that kind of power. I'm assuming that you'll be winding it up to get that power out of it when you race, so to keep the mains from walking and making a mess of your motor, consider one. Also, make sure your oiling system is upto the task of high rpms, well you've probably heard all that.

Ford offers a mass air conversion kit, but I'd consider getting a computer from a junkyard, and whatever meter you'd like, and then the harness for like $40 with the instructions. It'll save you a lot of money. I would recommend an MSD 6AL or something along that line ignition system, and get a 255 intank pump at the very minimum.

I believe in that article that they said they only revved it to about 6000rpm in deference of the stock crank. A motor like that should make power to 7-8K.
This motor definitely would not be too practical on the street with stock bottom end. By the time you get halfway into the power band you will have to shift to keep from breaking things.
