Could you be a little more specific on the car you are driving, the stock 5.0 AOD GT's go from 1983-1995.

Hopefully you have a 1986 or newer. The first mod you need, 4.10:1 rear gears. A shift kit should also be installed. As for the rest, what do you have?

Assuming it's stock, get a stall converter too. Then get every minor bolt on (like everything I have plus a throttle body and roller rockers) and you might be in the high 13's. To go lower you will have to get serious and get new heads/intake/cam. Low, low 13's there, maybe high 12's, I dunno. Im getting rear end gears soon and then start saving for the major bolt ons.

I've been a 9.10@78 and a 14.3@98 in my 1990 GT with 4.10 gears, Southsides uppers & lowers, subframe connectors, shift-kit, pulleys, 75mm Pro-M with a K&N, 3-core radiator & electric fan, MSD 6al, JBA shorties, high-flow cats, Flowmasters, Welds & radials, and a fresh tune-up.
Hope this helps.

AOD??? better get a good scanner and adobe photo deluxe so's you can doctor your your time slips.
Just kidding...i used to have one and w/ 3.73's, 2200 stall converter, shift kit, motorsport "low " gear set, mickey thompson sportsman pro's, GT-40 intake, pullies, and exhaust it only went 14.40's.
So you have your work cut out for you...especially on a street tire...gonna need ported heads, ported intake, 3000 converter, and 4.10's...should get you a mid to high 13

------------------
4.10's,long tubes & 75 shot...Goes 12.50's
