![]() I just installed my new Pro 5.0 Power Tower last night. It feels sooo much better than my old Hurst. One thing i hadn't planned on though was the pain in the a$$ instalation. I have seen articles on shifter installs that took less than an hour. Mine took a lot longer than that. i had no idea that you had to take out the entire console. A freind of mine said you didnt have to but i saw no other way. Anyway, Im very happy with it nontheless.

![]() I like my PRO 5.0 shifter too. You dont have to take the console out to do it but you have to do some custom cutting on the console to get it out.

![]() Yeah I went with the minor trimming to get mine in. I've swapped shifters so many times, I could get it in and out in 15 min. tops. ;o) Anyway I have a PRO 5.0(has about 2k miles on it) for sale....if anyone is interested...Send me a private message. The PRO 5.0 really is so much better than all the shifters out there. I've had a few others, and it's the best by far.

![]() The boot i did cut. I didnt really want to cut my console though. I didnt know you could cut it w/out the console looking all messed up otherwise I would've saved a lot of time and cut it.

![]() I cut the console so i wouldnt have to cut the lower boot. You dont see where you cut the console because the upper bezel/ boot covers where you cut the console. Without the cutting you cant get the metal bracket out that holds the lower boot in place. I wanted to keep the lower boot uncut so no heat would come into the car. Less heat in the car the better.

![]() I just made two notches in the front of the console with a dremmel, to get to the 2 front bolts that hold the metal plate on. If you've swapped shifters you know what I'm talking about! You can't even tell where I made the notches hardly, it looks real clean. I can swap shifters quickly that way also.

![]() I did the same thing as 1BAD89 did. I just cut two little openings in the console to get to the front two bolts. When the shifter was installed and everything was put back in place, you couldn't even tell that I had cut anything.
