Default alternator upgrade

is there a difference in the charging harness on a 85 gt verses
86 up? want to do the 130amp up grade but can't find anything on the 85's everything is 86 and newer

Not that I'm aware of. You will want to up grade the charge wire to 4ga. wire. You can run it from the alt. output to the bat. side of the starter relay.
