				 | I know that the third generation camaros (83? - 93) the RS was sort of the Camaros LX model and most came with either the V6 or the 305 and the Z28 came with the 305 or 350. In '94 i believe that the RS became a total base model like the LX and offered only the 3.1 (previously the 2.8L) and as such are slugs. They may have offered a 305 in the new generation, but i'm not sure. I know they went from the old 350 to the "LT1" 350 in '94 so i'm not sure if they even had 305's in the '94 up camaros. I know for sure that the late 90's were either V6 RS or V8 Z28. Please, someone correct me if i'm mistaken, but i believe that this is accurate

				 | The RS Camaro came out in 1993 with the new body style. It came with a 3.8L V6 with 200 HP. I have toasted several of these when my 95 GT only had 2.73's, stock MAF and no chip. |

				 | Camaro RS The 1993-94 Camaro RS models did use the 3.4L (L34) engine; switching to the 3.8 (L36) in '95 but I believe GM was offering the 3.4 as a base engine in '95. '96-97 RS models all came equipped with the 200 HP 3.8 engine. 1997 was the final year of manufacture for the RS model. Of course, the Camaro RS package was all appearance - not performance. You have nothing to fear from a Camaro RS model that retains the original powerplant, as almost all do. |

				 | I had a 96 V6 firebird 5 speed 3.8L 200HP, and I beat several 96-98 stangs.

				 | The 92 and earlier RS Camaro had the most embarassing excuse for a 305, it was rated at 170 hp! It was 95 that they got the 200hp V6 but they are definitely not a threat unless your driving isn't up to par.
