![]() Ok you're gonna think I'm a lunatic for even suggesting this. I was considering looking into an AOD for my cobra at one point in time. When I had my 86 buick GN I was amazed at the power it developed, despite being an automatic. I test drove a 2001 mustang GT with an auto and found it rather enjoyable. Some of the toughest mustangs on the planet (the V10 Boss and Super Stallion) are autos, and in this months MM&FFs the annual modular motor shootout was won by an automatic-equipped 99 GT (one that put out 566 RWHP... but an auto none-the-less). The guy said it "removes the worry of missed shifts from the equation". Has anyone ever put an AOD into a twin cam cobra? I actually don't see myself switching out my 5 speed for one, but man o man it would make the trip out of the Burger King drive-through a lot less hazardous lol.
