Default air pump quarry

well here is the situation:
I have an off-road H pipe and had problems with the air tube that connects to it so that is now blocked off to fix the hole in the h-pipe. As far as I know that is really only needed to help the cats from clogging up which I know longer have

now what should I do with the other end that connects to the air pump. I makes a strange noise that I don't like if I leave it open. Will it do any harm if I block it off? Should I just get a shorter belt and bypass the air pump all together? What else would I have to do to the egr or passages through the heads if I got rid of the whole system?

Thanks guys
