I have an opportunity to purchase a set of BBK shorty headers and BBK off road H-pipe for $200. From Summit I can get it for $320 for the both, assuming I go with chrome. I'm not sure how hard it will be to put on used headers and hpipe compared to new, due to warping. Is the the extra hassle going to be enough to make it worth paying the extra $120 for?

The H-pipe shouldn't be subject to much heat warp. If the headers have a solid flange, they should be OK, too. Individual flanges warp easier. If you're installing on the motor out of the car, you could heat them with a torch and reshape them as necessary. Not so easy to do under the hood.

The BBK headers are a solid flange design. You shouldn't have any problem with heat warping. I know quite a few people with BBK headers and they haven't had any poblems with installing them or removing them. Check over the headers and h-pipe so you know EXACTLY what kind of shape they are in.

Check them, and if they are in good shape, I would get them. The $120 or so you would save can be used for gas or something else.
