![]() My Superchip burned up my ECU, so I replaced it. The new ECU didn't come with a chip, so I am just running it without one(Open Loop Mode or something I believe). The car seems to run perfect. I can tell a slight loss in performance, but it still runs great. I put about 75 miles on it like this and now my Check Engine Light will flash on and off every now and then. Like it will blink twice, and then nothing for 10 mintues, then it will do it again. Like I said, it doesn't seem to be running bad. Could that light flashing be caused by not having a chip on the ECU? Will it hurt my car by running it with out a chip on the ECU? Thanks!
