Question 71 Mustang Interior

Well going to pick up a 71 Mustang here this sat. And plan on re-doing the entire interior. Well i've run across a couple websites for aftermarket parts but they offer certain colors for the carpet, and then a different set of colors for the headliner! And only a few from each product will match colors. Is this a standard practice because it makes NO sence to me. Anyway, any help anyone can give me id apreciate it.

Welcome to the world of 71-73's. Cool because they are rare, a pain in the back side because they are rare. Typically, it is hard to get a good selection of interior for these cars. All I can say is yes, it is pretty normal. I remember when the only door panels were black or white. Keep looking around. Get a catalog from NPD if you don't have one, they seem to have a pretty good selection.
