![]() ok i have a set of stock heads but they have ben shaved 60 thousands of an inch and a 3 angle valve job and ported
now would they be better then a set of stock gt 40p heads why or why not?? just need some in put thanks |

![]() Depends totally on the quality of the port work. I'd be worried about piston-to-valve clearance on heads shaved .060". The P head is a great low buck street head.

![]() Well GT40p's flow 190 cfm out da box on top, average flow (over five points) is 149, your E7TE's probably flow an average of 130 to 135 cfm?

![]() so what your saying is when i get the gt40 p's shaved 20thow and ported they will be way better then the heads i have on there now??? what u think the might flow the gt40p's after shaved and ported???

![]() Shaving/milling the heads wil increase compression. It will also throw your intake alighnment off. You will need to check & most likely mill the intake to fit when you mill more then 30-40 thousands off.
As goes for what they will flow depends on who is doing them and on what flow bench. If you are spending that kind of $$ to port the heads then just go buy a set of AFR heads or Twisted Wedge and end all the b/s. Those heads only need work when you are trying to make ALOT of power. Those AFR/Twisted Wedge flow better out of the box, then those other heads fully ported by a expert porter. |
