![]() hello,
I'm having one serious traction problem. I have installed lakewood boxed uppers, mega bite jrs. set on full bite and subframe connectors and a auburn pro series differential. Last weekend I put Lmm drag springs and lakewood drag shocks and struts 70/30 front 50/50 back and I still just light the tires up in 1st and 2nd gears. I have BfG 245/50R/16's on the back. I've toyed with getting a supercharger, but if I can't hook now what good would it be? Any suggestions? Maybe a bigger tire? Can you get a 27X10.5 et street under the car? ![]()

![]() Check your pinion angle and go from there!!! With non-adj control arms the best you can do is probably 0 but with adj ones -4 would be optimal.

![]() What kind 0f 60ft are you pulling.
I 60ft in the 1.63-1.72 range on Hoosier 26X8X15 slicks. I have also cut 1.6 60ft's on 26X10.5X15 ET streets. 27X10.5X15's fit if your car isnt lowered thats what size my first pair of slicks were. I have Granatelli upper and lower control arms. 4 banger springs in front. subframe connectors No front sway bar. I also agree on the pinion angle.

![]() The 60ft times are not so good. They usually are in the 2.1-2.0 range. I take off from an idle because if I rev and launch I just compound the problem and I don't want to hit the wall. I'd like to get the adjustable upper control arms if you guys think it is worth it.
I hope that maybe the bigger slick or ET street will help also. So the 27 x 10.5 ET tire will fit? I want to buy tires once and get the right rim size and back spacing right.

![]() Get 26X10.5X15or16 wich ever you have and your 60ft will fall like a rock.
With 3.73 gears I wouldnt run slicks any larger than a 26. I still have plenty of rpm left at the end of the track with 3.73's and 26's shifting at 6200 rpms. Are you running BFG street tires or drag radials? The BFG DR's hook real good my brother runs them. They hook so good he snapped a half shaft last weekend. ![]()
