![]() I'm just about finished assembling the 347 V-8. Everything has gone together rather smooth. Till TODAY.....the day from Heck!!
I have a 94 302 V-8. Stroked to 347. Ran into a problem on assembly...After installing the cam and timing chain and sprockets. I added the early model fuel pump cam to the end of the cam shaft. Here is where my problem occurs...... The chain and gears go on smoothly and line up correctly. But....the fuel pump cam drags against the inside of the timing chain cover. Has anyone seen this before??? I have an aftermarket fuel pump cam. I have found one at Ford and will see what difference it makes, if any at all. Take care
