![]() I have just bought the 66 mustang gt and there seems to be two different set of tags. on the door it reads 65c T 36 18D 74 1 6 and in the owners card it reads 65C R 36 18D 75 1 6, while both have the same warranty number. I find this unsettling, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

![]() The "T" is Candyapple Red and the "R" is Dark Green Metalic. It could be an honest mistake. Ford made "Many" mistakes on the coding. You could get a Marti report and see what it says. Or........check around for a spot with original paint. Like under a hood hinge, under a deck lid hinge, under a 1/4 extension, etc.
65--Hardtop C--Bench Seat T or R--Red or Green 36--Black Bench Seat 18D--April 18 74--DSO Seattle The 75 DSO code isn't listed in any of my charts. Might be a typo?? Marti report will know the correct number. 1--3.00 axle 6--C-4 automatic Is the stamped number still on the top of the left front fender apron?? Under the hood where the fender bolts on. Sometimes you have to loosen the fender to gain access for viewing the number.
