				 |  1997 mustang gt 137k, to many miles? hello so ive found me a realy clean 97 stang with manual trans, the car runs and drives realy good, but im not to familar with the duribility of the 4.6l engine, is there lots of life in these 4.6 engines or am i looking at a new engine in the near future? any help would be awesome thanks. |

				 |  Re: 1997 mustang gt 137k, to many miles? If i bought it i would checkout the timing chain and tensioners. If they don't look real good I would change them. Because if any of that stuff comes apart it could cause some major damage. Other than that I wouldn't expect any major problems, the engine could run 2 or 3 hundred thousand miles before necessarily rebuilding it. Use synthetic oil. |
