Post 4 Cyl. Springs? Your Opinions Please.....

ok, i was thinking of putting in 4cyl spirngs with my stock shocks/struts. will i notice a difference on how the car launches?
will it lower my car? will it still be suitable for a daily driver?

Is It Worth It???

thanks

hey Bowtie Eater,
this summer I put 4cyl springs in the front of my car and I love it! it lowered it about 1.5 inches and it launches alot better. The only thing is that you will NOT be doing any rally driving as the front end is alot softer (but you only want to go straight anyways, right?).
My springs set me back $30 from an auto wrecker so it was definetly worth it, check out my pics to see how it looks.

I run 4-cyl springs on all four corners. I've cut about 1 full coil off the fronts and 3/4 coil off the rear to try and put the car 'in the weeds' for better reaction at launch. They will lower the car quite a bit. I've actually got to lift my car from the wheel wells and then slip my floor jack under the k-member before it settles back down! The tops of my 26x4.5 E/T Fronts are actually up in the wheel wells...and that with a car that weighs 2960# with me in it! The car is 60' down in the low 1.5's though with the AOD off the transbrake so I'd say the suspension is working pretty well. I'd still like to take about another 1/2 coil off the rears though.

BTW: I bought brand new TRW springs for only about $40 a set from my local parts store where the local scrap yards wanted about $30 a set...and I would have had to pull them.

Question

can you guys tell me what you think about 4cyl springs on the front and FMS "C" springs in the rear? How would that look and launch and ride? can anyone reccomend the cheapest springs that give a 1.5" - 2" drop on a '95 conv.? Thanks.
