Lightbulb Questions

Hey All,
I just got my grandfathers '67 Mustang Convertible and I have a couple of questions.

When I open the door it doesn't move up and away like the manual says it should, I'm just curious, is that a standard feature that is broken on mine or could my car not have that feature.

Also, the steering wheel cannot be adjusted either, how do I go about fixing that?

Thanks.
