30 lb injectors and 76mm mass air
Do you guys think this is way overkill for my setup. Stock 302 with perf. rpm heads, e cam and rpm intake. I have a set of 24 lb injectors off my buddies car but they need cleaned. I want to buy the parts from blue oval industries. I've bought from them before but only in person on carlisle. While doing a google search i found a ton of horror stories, so now i don't know what to do. IF YOU GUYS CAN ANSWER EITHER QUESTION OR BOTH I'D APPRECIATE IT.
1) are 30 lb injectors too much 2) blue oval industries out of elkton, Virginia good or bad? Thanks as usual jay

Re: 30 lb injectors and 76mm mass air
I know a guy that dealt with blue oval industries with no problem, but that was only one purchase.
That same guy ran 30 lb injectors with an 80mm maf on a 302, mods included, pro-topline heads, f-cam and typhoon intake,. The car ran pretty good, no drivability issues except for the 3500 converter. good luck hope someone else can chime in.

Re: 30 lb injectors and 76mm mass air
thanks coupe50h anybody else. oh can someone explain to me the difference between buying a mass air with sample tube, versus buying one without. is that what actually calibrates it to the injectors. thanks again
jay

Re: 30 lb injectors and 76mm mass air
The sample tube fools the ecu, on how much air is coming in, and you can I think use the stock electronics (top sensor).
The mafs without the sample tube are calibrated in the electronics on top, hope that makes sense.

Re: 30 lb injectors and 76mm mass air
The 76mm will be good to go although the 30lbers are a little overkill, however, you can run them and just turn down the FP. Better to have too much injector than not enough. But to save money you'll be safe with the 24lbers and getting a tube to match for the MAF.
