![]() '89 5.0L here and I want to remove my EGR valve from the back of the spacer. If I simply remove my EGR spacer block, I will not have anything to hook my throttle linkage bracket up to. Does anyone know of a after market company that makes a block-off plate or a removal kit?

![]() Leave the spacer and just put a plate where the EGR valve was. You'll have to remove the EVP sensor from the EGR and leave it plugged in and hanging there or the computer will run in open loop mode.

![]() You probably have to fabricate your own. Just take your EGR gasket and use it as a template. Be sure to put the gasket between the plate and the EGR spacer, too. You could probably use 1/8" steel or 1/4" aluminum. Aluminum will get hotter, faster, but will also cool off faster.
