Post C-4 swap

I am in the process of putting a C-4 in my 86 GT. How can I hook the kickdown up to my C-4. The car was equipped with a T-5. Also, there were about 2-3 plugs that went into the old T-5. They're purpose is?????? Also I have not found a Check Engine light on this car, were 86 GT's equipped with them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No check engine light on the '86GT, or my '87Notch for that matter.

Hooking up the "kickdown" cable will be difficult, since that's not what it is. It's actually called the throttle valve (TV) cable, and the AOD uses it to change shift points AND shift characteristics. On a C4, it's a true kickdown rod for downshifting, and that's going to be the tricky part, since you need it to "hit" when the throttle is open far enough, another reason you see C-series trannies on carbed and TBI cars. As far as making all of this work, I haven't a clue. Seems like you should be able to hook up some sort of bracketry and trim the cable some way. Remember you need that kickdown lever on the C4 to be full down at WOT. Good luck.

One of the old wires is for the back up lights. Have no clue what the others are for.

Anybody know which of the wires(that plugged into the T-5) were for the starter relay.(when you push the clutch in) Is there a book available that shows good drawings of the electrical system? Thanks
