IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE....
Well after swapping the distributors out last night she fired right up, I need to re-adjust the valves though because it doesn't rev and I was afraid 4 were to tight but I followed Cranes directions perfectly. So tonight I will get those adjusted and everything should be fine.
It is so damn loud now since there is no carpet or deadoner in the hatch area, I took it down the road and everybody just had that "What the hell was that look?" the new cam likes fuel and lots of timing, so after all the adjustments tonight it will be trial and error to get it in tune, hopefully race later in the month. It's great to have it back! I felt like a piece of me was missing... The car feels great nice and stiff, so are those JAZ seat I need to put my covers on them, it needs a little padding, but they have great support.
The chassis seems to react quicker as well, after I do the adjusting tonight and it revs fine I'll get on it to see how it feels going throught the gears, but no power shifting for 500 miles. I'll get some pics ASAP, you have to see my tranny parts they make your look brand new I really did a number on them. |

Glad to hear its all together. We had to send my dad's Holley heads back to Holley because in one head the stupid rocker studs were drilled too far and were sticking into the intake runner! We got the new ones and it should be together this month or next. I just recieved word from Ed Curtis that my cam is done and should ship this week or next, so mine will be together soon. Keep me updated as to how you run. Do you plan on going to that track day at Keystone raceway?

Well I got the valves adjusted and that's what is was they were too tight. Now it revs nice and smooth but I really need to install my 4:30 gears like the cam calls for, between my hi-flowing heads with 2.02's, and intake it's a little sluggish on the low end but when it gets to 3800-4000 it comes on and pulls like a MoFo. The motor loves fuel and timing I am running 50psi at idle and it still goes lean in the top end charge, it also seems to like lots of timing, I currently have 20 degrees all on 93 octane.
I aklso have this pop and I am afraid it is coming from the C&L meter, but I am running my conical filter which I have a cover over to prevent fan wash. I am going to put on the factory air box tonight with a K&N and see if that takes care of the problem, I'll keep all updated. I really need to go up to a set of 30# or 36# injectors, anybody have a set and thinks they are over injected and want 24#? My 24#'s have 3053 miles on them and I would be willing to make a deal possibly ------------------ Check Out My Site 91GT,Holley SysteMAX II Kit-Heads 2.02" x 1.60" port matched to a 1262,Anderson N-61,24#,76mm C&L,Full MAC exhaust 1-5/8" Long tubes,2-1/2" O.R H-Pipe,2 1/2" cat back, No A/C or PS or emissions, 12" K&N Filter,RNH PERFORMANCE Ram Air,Ron Davis Radiator,Full Suspension,S&W 8pt "X" brace,JAZ seats,3:73's,Welds..etc,4:30's and 31 splines coming very soon! Rick! It's great to hear that you got it up and running. I'd love to see some pictures and if you can, a few sound bytes. How 'bout that new MAF? Are things working out OK with that?

93-Well I had lots of popping issues but after I swapped of the Conical filter and cover and replaced the factory air box everything has seemed to smoothed out. I really need the gears bad, the cam isn't even really coming on and my 3:73's are done. I currently am running 53psi of fuel and 20 degrees timing through my 24's, I need to go to a set of 36#'s. All in all you can tell it makes big power, you can hear it. It doesn't sound like a Mustang anymore though doesn't have that Stang tone, but it roars and is very, very loud. I really need those gears before I hit the dyno and the track, they should be in at the end of the month or the first week in June. Hows the Procharger thing coming? I have some pic's I'll scan them in Monday and send them to you, and I send them to 2FastLX so he can post them, cage and motor.

It looks nice dude! Try to get me some pics of the whole car and I'll get those up for you too. BTW, what are you still doing with the stock alternator on there? Or did you upgrade it?
