I'm back
Well, car died in july of 2010 after looking for electrical gremlin since engine rebuild in 2007. I've been so frustrated about it I havent even messed with it for a year and a half!! But this car is my baby(like er body elses' is to them, especially mustangs) so I finally had it towed to the best ford guy in town, $150 and a new computer later and we're all good!!
Besides getting married and having kids, last sunday was the happiest day of my life!! Right up there with getting the car new, and the first time the new motor fired!! I have never sprayed the new motor because it's got that chip in it and the tuner told me that he'd have to put another tune for nitrous on the chip and I'd be able to switch back and forth. Although I know that's the best way to get the most out of the gas I couldn't resist pulling the chip out (at first I thought there was no chip, just reprogrammed CPU) retarded timing 3 degrees popped in the 75hp jets and........... The nitrous solenoid is dead More to come....

Re: I'm back
Ok, System is fine, WOT switch had been bumped so the throttle
linkage wasn't hitting it, I'm spraying what amounts to a 62 shot (according to online calculator), with the chip in, no timing retard. No detonation and it pulls like the 113 shot with no chip and 9 degrees of timing, maybe more! So now, of course I want more, I know nothing about custom chips first of all, so can I retard the timing and spray more with the chip in? Seems the tuner told me not to cause the tune is lean now to get as much HP as possable and the chip will put timing back to where chip has it set, therefore castastrophic results, correct? Don't want to spray more than 50-60 shot without retarding timing 2 degrees per 50hp right? So will the chip put timing back that fast or do I have to pull the chip if I want to spray more? Anyone ever got a nitrous tune? Worth it? I paid $450 for the tune and chip and it's $250 to add up to 4 different tunes, I guess there's a wire and switch run to passenger compartment to choose between tunes? No way you gotta pull CPU out to flip switch every time. Thanks guys any help appreceiated, sorry so long again. W Kennington. PS Damn I love my Mustang!!

Re: I'm back
Blew a head gasket between 5 and 6! (unhappy)
So turns out I used the cheap fel pro's?? So I'm putting Cometic's on it, I'm fighting the urge to put another cam in it as the TF #1 is VERY streetable, thats what I want but it still falls on it's face at 5300-5400rpm, like the stock cam did at 5000 Any advice on a cam for my engine? (details in sig) I like the trick flow, so I'm thinking about they're #2 cam. #1= 221/225 @.050 .499/.510 with 1.6 #2= 224/232 "" .542/.563 '''' both at 112 seperation How much driveability you guys think I'll lose? Any help appriecated!!
