ANYONE REGRET putting 4.10's in their N/A 5speed?

I had a 4.10 gear a while back. First gear was very short and very difficult to keep traction. Around town it was fun, but the tach read like 2750-3k at 70mph. I switched over to a 3.73 and love it. One neat thing was you dont need to downshift to pass at 50-60mph though.

Love em. Had 3.73's and would never go back. Have 4.30's in my Mach1 with a 4spd. RAY

I dont have them but know a guy with a 347 and 410's his car runs good with them, but otheres are telling me they have to go to 5th in the 1/4 mi? that would succk! but then again otheres are at 6k in 4th through the traps? i wanted them until i heard you need 5th, i'll just get 373 then.

the have a 3:90 if u think the 4:10 r to much thats what im going to put in mine

I've got 4.10's in mine and love them. I wouldn't go to anything else. Going down the highway at 65 still isn't really even ALL that bad. I know a guy around here that put 3.73's in his, he rode in mine and now he's putting 4.10's in it. I went straight from the stock 2.73's with an aod to 4.10's. I broke the automatic about 15 miles later. but switched to a t-5 and broke that after 4 or 5 months. and now i've got a tremec tko, and with the .83 5th gear i still like the 4.10's. I don't think i would consider 3.73's anymore if i had to do it again. Just my opinion though. Good luck.
