Question Need some help with intake/TB combo

I am planning to use either a cobra, gt40, or explorer upper with an FMS 65mm or MAC 70mm Throttle body. Which of these intakes requires the use of the EGR spacer and which doesn't? Thanks.

The Cobra and Explorer's have a built in EGR, but can't be ported...Invest in TFS Intake...cheaper and better power. 65mm B unless yu are going to supercharge or use NOS

Ported stock heads and stock cam with 1.7 rockers. I think I found a good deal on a GT40. With that I need the EGR spacer right?

NO NO NO, I didn't clarify my self. What I meant to sy is that the EGR on the Cobra and Explorer's can't be ported. Those Intakes are awesome when ported, but my TFS still made more hp than my ported Cobra.

gt 40 needs an egr, cobra doesnt, i'd go with the gt 40 and a 65 fms t-body. the 70 is too big for you (right now) and the tfs intake is way too big

On that comment about the TFS Intake.

Too big? Explain my hp numbers from before my current mods.

Cobra Intake, Stock Heads, Ecam. 241 rwhp/289 rwtq

TFS Street Intake, Stock Heads, Ecam. 253 rwhp/297 rwtq

The explanation is in your signature: "BD11A".

The blower allows your otherwise mildly modified engine to take full advantage of the TFS manifold. BTW is the manifold a Street Heat or Track Heat?

Regards,
Bob P.

BD11A wasn't installd when those tests were run. If I made 250 rwhp with a blower....geeze I really suck

Those tests were run wit the Street Heat Intake, Stock Heads, Ecam, 1.7rr's, 65 TB, exhaust, blah blah...
