Adjusting 2-3 clutch band on C-4
How do you adjust the clutches on a C-4? Sometimes I get a 2-3 flare up at low rpms. I'm hoping an adjustment will cure it.

Re: Adjusting 2-3 clutch band on C-4
I Had An C-4, On The Pass. Side Of The Trans Loosen The Jam Nut Tighten The Screw All The Way To Ten Foot Pounds Then Loosen It 4 1/2 Turns Tighten The Jam Nut Thats What It Said In The Car Book That I Got From Auto Zone.........but Just In Case It Does Not Work , Or Gets Worse Remember How Many Turns You Make When You Tighten It So You Can Set It Back...........good Luck..........i Traded My C-4 For An Old School F4b Edelbrock Intake It Worked Fine But I Wanted A Quicker Take Off With Out Buying A Stall Converter , Switch To A T5................
