Default Webboard Response

When I am on your webboard for between 15 minutes to an hour sometimes, the webboard site stops responding for me. I have ISDN, and have also tried from my friends dialup connection, and it happens with both. Just wondering if it might be on the server side, or if it is something with us (we are both running Win 95 OSR-2 with Internet Explorer 4.01).

I'm not sure why your running into difficulty. I also run on an ISDN at home (T1's at work), and I've never noticed any problems. Although the board may get a little sluggish during peak traffic periods, its never just stopped working or anything. Hasn't crashed, or anything like that.

Hey Dan ...

I have been doing some experimenting on ISDN, 56K dialup, and my work T1, and I was getting the problem on all 3. I figured if it was not your server/s/, then maybe it was an IE4 thing (anything is possible with a Microsoft product). It now seems that when I have this "webboard freezing" problem, simply stopping the browser, deleting my cached files, and refreshing the window seems to work well.

So, if anybody else has this problem, this may be the fix for them as well.

Well, that's very odd!! But, then again, that's browsers for ya! That's one of the biggest problems for us Internet Developers; making sites look and function correctly in every browser. There are so many different versions now, all with different levels of functionality and different bugs, it's not even funny.
