Default Popup ads.

Popup ads are the most flamingly homosexual thing you can do to a website. Why are they in use here? EVERY OTHER MUSTANG WEBSITE CAN GET BY WITHOUT THEM. Ya think this site is so much better that you actually need pop-up ads to stay in business? If that is the case, than some different managerial techniques are needed. Hello, even the ricer and chevrolet forum sites do not use them.

Please get rid of them before people start boycotting.

I know, it is getting bad. I normally get hit with 2 to 3 pop up adds when ever I log in. Even when I return to the main page a get atleast one popup ad.

While I understand this all costs money, so many pop-up ads do get annoying.

Yes, we have pop-ups on MW. A lot of sites these days, due to the advertising downturn on the Web, have to run them to make any advertising dollars from "bulk" ads. However, for the most part we keep them off the forums where they would be the most annoying. Furthermore, you are mistaken about all Mustang sites not having them, since there are other mustang sites that have pop-up ads too. Unfortunately, the operation of MW cost a LOT of money, and also takes a great deal of time and effort, and we have to use them at this time to generate revenue.

My suggestion is that if they personally bother you that much to take 7DMACH1's suggestion and install a pop-up ad killer program. They are freely available on download.com.

Dan, I complained to you about these on 12/05/01. You said you need the advertising dollars. I found a solution to my problem by downloading start surfing. I glad to see you agree and didn't delete my reply. THANX RAY

thanks for not deleting the post like some other moderators would have.

i will search out an anti-popup program that suits my needs, and thanks for not having them in the forums. i'll just change my bookmark to go directly to the forums.
