dumb newbie w/? about '95 Cobra
I've got a '98 Mustang w/a 3.8. If I had my hands on a '95 Cobra engine for free, would I completely have to redo the entire car to upgrade or would it be just a little more than dropping a 5.0 in it? I know the 5.0 upgrade wouldnt be THAT bad, but how much worse would it be for the 351? Once again, I know nothing, so be gentle. haha

if you wanted to put the cobra motor in your car, you would need the motor and the trans from the cobra, also you would need the computer and engine wiring harness. to put a 351 in your car you would need a different oil pan, headers, and motor mounts, plus all the computer stuff if you were injecting it.

Radiator, engine, transmission, driveshaft (probably), 8.8" rear end, computer, wiring harness, and a gauge pod. There are definately some minor things that you'll need to change as well. Basically you'll be changing the entire driveline and computer system.

You may need to replace the "K" member with a 94-95, I think those changed in 96 to accomodate the modular V-8.
