Egr Spacer
I was wondering why there is a water hose running though the EGR Spacer. wouldn't this heat the incomming air. The only thing I could figure was is was for the recirculating Exhuast. So the exhaust temp would be lower. Wouldn't it be better if the EGR was kept closed and the heater hose was bypassed. I was wondering this. ALso where is the PVC value on the 88 5.0 stang. THanks

well first off the egr recirculates hot exhaust gasses which are much hotter than the engine coolant so the coolant although hot has a cooling effect if you want to bypass the heater core thats up to you but it gets awful cold in the winter the pcv valve is located at the back of the lower intake by the firewall.

I blocked off the heater hose (to warm the intake charge faster in winter, and to cool the EGR exhaust gas temp). I also bypassed (ok, remeoved) the EGR completely, when I did the custom chip for the S-trim.
