Looking for opinions...
I'm gonna get a new steering wheel soon (just b/c I haven't bought anything for my car lately... ) and it'll help the interior look a tad bit better.
I have narrowed it down to 3 different ones made by Grant. Looking for opinions as to which one would look better. When the interior gets finished, I plan on it being grey and black with silver highlights (such as gauges, parking brake handle, etc). No wood grain. So with that in mind, help me out by voting on the three listed in the poll. Thanks. Here are the pics. Sorry I couldn't get a better photo of my interior, but most people know what it looks like. My interior (not totally current, but close enough). Choice #1 Choice #2 Choice #3 I think I'm leaning towards # 3, but I want to hear your opinions. Oh yeah, and if anyone has any good or bad thing to say about Grant from your experiences, let me know and if you have any pics with your cars with Grant steering wheels, please ATTACH them. i'm gonna have to vote for #3, it certainly has much more appeal than the other two, at least thats what i think

I voted for no. 3. The green thing has one just like it only it's all black. One day after Trev got out of his brother's car, he said it felt like driving a bus. I must have had one of them looks cause he told me to check out his and then get in the 89 , which has a stock wheel. He was right. All the Grant wheel needs is a chain ring to finish it off. I swear you can drive it with handcuffs on. It does make a difference though. Feels more like you're drivin a go-cart.

im still looking for the wheel with all the gizmos! lol...i love wheels with the stereo's "remote" built into the wheel...something i wish ford would do...

I think #2 is a better match, but get what YOU like and fits you best. If it works for you, that's all that matters.

I like #2 and have a similar Grant wheel on my car. The only thing I would caution about is the durability of the foam and vinyl grip surface. This may be due to the extreme heat and cold my car has seen in both Sacramento and western PA, but the vinyl is starting to split along all four wheel spokes and show the foam, after about a year and a half of everyday driving.
Might be advisable to spring for one of the more expensive stitched-leather models. Good luck!

Hey....Thanks guys.... and thanks CADreamin for the added info. Did you ever use Armour All or any type of protectant to preserve the vinyl? Maybe I'll use a Ford Racing cover on mine.

I have used Armor All maybe once or twice on it. And the problem isn't so bad at this point (you can't see the splits from the cockpit at all, they are on the back of the wheel) just don't know what it will look like a year or two from now...
